Letter of Invitation

The Conference will be pleased to send an official letter of invitation to any attendee making such a request. Please include the title of the presentation, as well as the abstract submission number and full contact information (email, mailing address, etc.) It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential attendees obtain travel funds or a visa. The letter does not constitute any financial commitment on the part of the conference. Please send Letter of Invitation requests to: SCAR2012@pdx.edu

Apply Early

SCAR COMNAP organizers strongly advise anyone who may need a visa to apply early. Learn more by reviewing US State Department website http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1265.html information and contact the US embassy or consulate where you will apply for detailed "how-to" instructions.

General Information

General information regarding Visas: Each applicant for a visitor visa must submit forms and documentation as explained below:

  • The process begins with an Online Visa Electronic Application, Form DS-160. Visit US State Department DS-160 webpage to learn more about online process.
  • A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions). If more than one person is included in the passport, each person desiring a visa must make an application.
  • One (1) 2x2 photograph. See the required photo format explained in Photograph Requirements.
